Shrimp Stir-Fry

I know I've been baking a lot recently and many of the people close to me (yes, I know you know who you are) have began to wonder whether I can only bake. So while this blog WILL remain only for baking I do plan to include a few non-pastry recipes.

Summer school is almost over and I am very excited because that means a little more free time. YAY :)
Whoever thought that you could finish your undergraduate degree without taking summer classes was absolutely insane. They should really tell you that from the beginning...in high school or something...goodness! But it'll be okay I've got pretty good support system :)

Anyway Stir-fry is one of my favorite dishes because it can be filled with vegetables--I like my meals with vegetables. Also, it tastes pretty good when you sprinkle some Tabasco sauce onto the shrimp. (I feel like I just had to add that just because am Mexican and love spicy, hot stuff....don't judge me ha-ha). **Note to all: make sure you have ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil

Stir Fry

Ingredients:

* 1 tablespoon of canola oil
* 2 garlic cloves, chopped
* 1 tablespoon of minced ginger
* 1 red bell pepper, sliced thinly
* 1 cup of snow peas
* 1 pound of large shrimp (make sure you peel them/or you can just buy a bag of frozen ones)
* 3 tablespoons of soy sauce
* 2 teaspoons of toasted sesame oil

Directions: Heat your skillet pan with the canola oil at medium heat. Add the chopped garlic, and ginger stir constantly. Then add your bell pepper, snow peas, and stir -fry for 2-3 minutes until all your veggies are tender. Now add the shrimp, and cook for 3-6 minutes, or until they're pink and cooked thoroughly. Lastly add the soy sauce and sesame oil. This dish goes great with steamed rice :)
