Alexia Spicy Sweet Potato Fries w/ Creamy Greek Blue Cheese Dip

I’ve been in a very good mood lately. Not that am usually in a bad mood or anything, but I’ve start this week quite jolly J and I love it. I feel refreshed. Recharged. Ready for something fabulous to happen…even if nothing happens. I’ve chosen to forget that next Monday it will all go away because I’ll be back to my usual routine.

Life is wonderful except for the weather it’s crap here, I swear Texas weather is bipolar. Some days it's nice, the next day it'll be cold, then it's nice again the day after. It's ridiculous.

So one of my favorite things to do is eat fries. But they are hard to make. They are a guilty pleasure of mine and I wish I could magically appear fries at any given moment. However, it's always tough to find an awesome fry brand at the grocery stores. Why, you may ask? Because I love potatoes and if they are in the form of a fry I love them more and would like for them to be just right! Seriously, I'm not Irish or from Idaho but potatoes are a must in my home. That being said, as part of the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program with Alexia, I received a free coupon to sample an Alexia product.

As soon as I got it I knew which ones I definitely had to try! I picked the Spicy Sweet Potato Fries, they are spiced with Chipotle seasoning. I placed the fries on a baking sheet and placed in the oven at 400 F for 20 minutes exact. As I anxiously waited to try the fries I made a little dip for them. I made a Greek blue cheese dip.

Creamy Greek Blue Cheese Dip

Ingredients
  • 4 oz. whipped cream cheese
  • 1 cup of any Greek yogurt
  • 4 oz. crumbled blue cheese
Directions

Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until all ingredients are combined.  Serve chilled.

Fact: These fries are amazing! The chipotle seasoning gives their natural sweetness a very pleasant and accentuated flavor. I loved that the seasoning was just right, it's mild enough to still fully enjoy what sweet potato fries are all about. Sweetness. These fries have the best of both sweet and spicy, yum.

I wanted to try them with a dip just for fun! And I found that if the fries were going to be spicy and sweet the dip could not be neither sweet or spicy. Hence was the blue cheese dip born. The spicy sweet potato fries are great by themselves though so the dip is up to you.

See nice and crispy on the outside, very soft and yummy on the inside. I definitely will be enjoying more of the Alexia products, their product presentation is great, the actual product is of great quality, I am very satisfied with these fries! And...they are reinventing a classic recipe. On the Alexia facebook page you can vote for the next Alexia product in their "Reinvent a Classic" tab! They have yummy recipes to choose from. Hope you enjoy these fries with or without the dip, or any other Alexia Foods product!

Bake with love :)
