Strawberry-Peach & Orange Salad

Well here in Texas we're starting to feel the heat. It's only 96 degrees so far thank goodness. I know what you're thinking 'that's still so hot' not for Texas weather! We usually get pretty high temperatures like the summer from hell that was last summer---MY GOD it was HOTT!! We reached 3 digit temperatures for more than a month it was crazy. The highest was 115... yeah. Ninety-six degrees is not hot it's pretty cool. So for the today, the 4th of July I wanted to post something different not necessarily traditional, just simply cool, summery fruits.
Strawberry-Peach & Orange Salad
Ingredients
  • 1 cup strawberries (halves)
  • 2 peaches (cut into slices then pieces)
  • 2-3 tablespoons of orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon Splenda or granulated sugar
Directions
Wash and cut peaches and strawberries. Put both in a medium bowl once they're cut into halves, slices and pieces. First add 1 tablespoon of orange juice and combine with the fruit. Gradually add the second tablespoon of orange juice. I only added enough OJ so that it would cover the fruit entirely, but not too much so that the fruit wouldn't be swimming in juice. Lastly add Splenda or sugar to the entire bowl or when served individually.

I really liked this combination.
